Cycling to some brand new, gigantic street art

Today’s Ride#56:

Yesterday, Thursday the 26th of April, started just like any other day. I got out of bed, grabbed the biggest cup the cupboard offered and made myself a rather good coffee. I sat down at the table and started reading the newspaper…

As usual, I was way too not awake to realize and fully understand a single headline. The first couple of pages seemed to turn themselves right in front of me. International news…Boulevard…Sports and yes, even Economics. Nothing I haven’t heard of the other day and/or nothing that would catch my interest early in the morning. I was already about to close the subject for the day, when suddenly an interesting article somehow managed to catch my attention :

The news of a brand new, gigantic street art, right next to the highway.

The small photos in the article looked cool enough to give my day off an useful target: I absolutely had to get some shots of those pieces of art myself.

I packed my things, went out of the front door and the journey began. I knew the exact location, because I used to come across those walls on my way to the kidney a few times, so navigating to the destination was not a tough challenge. And of course, it started raining. But today, this could not hold me back, I was on a mission…

P.S.:

All of the pictures were shot on my smartphone, which has somehow become my number one choice for taking pictures during the ride. It is easy to handle, small enough to fit in every pocket and the quality of the images is more than okay.
Anyway, I hope you like the pictures, feel free to comment below and tell me your thoughts about it…oh and don’t forget to click on the images to get a larger view of them…

  1. I love street art. Using a phone for taking pictures as you ride is a wise choice. It reminds me of the saying ‘the best camera for the job is the one you have with you’.
