Today’s Ride #57:
Today I’d like to show you one of the weirdest and coolest places the city has to offer.
The Field of Rocks
It is a little plateau surrounded by a lot of trees. On top of it, there is a huge amount of space filled with rocks and a small path leading around it. The narrow path that leads up to it doesn’t suggest what awaits you at the top.
The plateau is propably a heritage of the stell mill that used to run here in the 20th century. But I’m still not quite sure what’s the exact reason for all the stones and rocks up here is.
The latest news about this area was that they spotted some really rare birds around this place, who use to nest between the rocks. So, right now, this place is kept a nature reserve area.
I’m pretty sure most people don’t even know this place even exists. That’s why I like it so much. It is quiet around here and for once, one can be alone, which nowadays is something almost as rare as these little birds…
